As this article is being written, we are now exactly one month away from what might end up being the biggest international esports and video game launch of all time. On Thursday, November 19th, 2026, Rockstar Games is officially releasing GTA VI, the latest instalment in its hugely popular GTA franchise. Pre-orders have already started over the summer and just recently, the developer aired a new trailer for the game. And while it was once again an impressive production to behold, it did not reveal many new details this time, to the disappointment of some.

You can view the new GTA VI trailer on the official Rockstar Games YouTube channel by clicking this link.

More Vice City

“Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them. But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a criminal conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

That’s how Rockstar Games starts the presentation of the newest GTA VI trailer on their own website. Accompanied by music from electronic duo Justice, the so-called “launch trailer” most of all shows viewers more of Vice City, the city in which GTA VI will be taking place. The video is about one and a half minutes long and does not show a lot of new footage or content. Instead, it focuses on the surroundings in which the events of GTA VI will be taking place. All of the images were recorded on PlayStation 5.

Leaks

It is not the first official trailer of GTA VI that Rockstar has released. Over the summer, they collaborated with Netflix to stream an extensive preview of the game, including footage of actual gameplay instead of just images and cutscenes. On top of that, an unknown hacker recently seemed to have released leaked images of the game. According to experts, the leaked content looks legitimate, but their authenticity could not yet be determined.

Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album

One of the many, many things that helped turned the GTA franchise into the global hit it is today, is the soundtrack. Or better said, the game’s internal radio mechanism, which has featured dozens of complete radio stations for decades. This element will be part of GTA VI as well, and if we are to believe Rockstar, it will be bigger than ever. Together with the latest launch trailer, they even promoted Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album in their most recent official statement.

“The new standalone Justice single, “Flower in a Hurricane” feat. Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, is also available on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, the official soundtrack which is currently available to pre-save on all major music streaming services and up for pre-order on vinyl or CD at gtavi-thealbum.com”, writes Rockstar Games.
