PUBG Esports announce 2024 Global Partner Teams

30 January 2024

Just a few weeks ago, we wrote an article about the impressive victory of Mongolian esports organization IHC Esports at the 2023 PUBG Mobile Global Championship and now we are back with more PUBG news. No international tournament news this time though, but a major announcement from the game’s developer, PUBG Corporation. In anticipation of the 2024 season, the studio has announced the ten Global Partner Teams for the new season, which include two new names. The partnered teams’ first major tournament appearance will be at the PUBG Global Series 2024 Phase 3 which takes place offline in May 2024.

“We are thrilled to unveil the 2024 PUBG Esports Global Partner Team program members”, PUBG writes on its own website, “With eight returning squads and two newcomers there’s lots to cover, so let's dive right in […] The founding teams of the Global Partner Team program have excelled through the re-evaluation process, demonstrating their indispensable role in the PUBG Esports ecosystem. We look forward to working with them all this year to continue elevating PUBG Esports for fans, players, and viewers.”

8 returning partners, 2 new ones

As mentioned before, the selection of PUBG Global Partner Teams for the 2024 contains two news names (CERBERUS Esports and Daytrade Gaming) in addition to eight existing partners. These are 17Gaming, FaZe CLAN, Four Angry Men, Gen.G, NAVI, Petrichor Road, Soniqs and Twisted Minds. It was Krafton, the South Korean video game publisher behind PUBG, who selected the two new teams after extensive deliberation.

“We're delighted to welcome two more formidable teams to the Global Partner Team program: CERBERUS Esports and Daytrade Gaming”, PUBG Esports writes, “Just like last year, Krafton met with top squads from around the world and assessed teams through extensive evaluation criteria. This time around, we placed extra emphasis on the ‘Fandom’ that these teams bring to PUBG Esports, leading us to the final selection […] Congratulations to the PUBG Esports 2024 Global Partner Team selection and our deepest gratitude to all teams that applied this year.”

About CERBERUS Esports

CERBERUS Esports is a Vietnamese esports organization that has been active in PUBG since 2019. What stands out about CERBERUS is that they have so far only signed Vietnamese players to compete in PUBG for them. This approach has resulted in considerable (regional) success for them, including victory at the 2023 PUBG Vietnam Series: Spring and a seventh place during the last PUBG Global Championship.

About Daytrade Gaming

Daytrade Gaming is an esports organization from Thailand that, like CERBERUS, has competed in PUBG since 2019. They have got some recent successes on their name, including winning the 2023 PUBG Thailand Series and the PUBG Continental Series 7: Asia Pacific a year earlier. Their 13th place at the most recent Global Championship also got Daytrade Gaming noticed on the worldwide level.
