Official launch date for SUPERVIVE announced: July 24, 2025

2 July 2025

Since early 2024, a new game called SUPERVIVE has been garnering attention online, in particular with its early access run on Steam. At the same time, Theorycraft Games, the independent studio behind SUPERVIVE, has been providing regular updates about the game’s development on its official YouTube channel. And now, with the help of a brand-new trailer, the developers have finally announced SUPERVIVE’s official launch date: Thursday, July 24th, 2025. Does Theorycraft Games’ new creation have what it takes to attract and grow its own international esports community?
You can watch the newest SUPERVIVE trailer here on the official SUPERVIVE YouTube channel.

Project Loki

Back when SUPERVIVE was first announced by Theorycraft Games, the project had no official name yet. Instead, it was run under the working title “Project Loki”. The idea for the game has always been the same, though: a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) with plenty of battle royale elements, including a large number of starting players (22) and the last team standing being declared the winner.

In similar fashion to, for example, Fortnite or PUBG, a battle started when players are dropped as squads from the sky onto an extensive open map. Once landed, they will have to defend themselves against both NPCs and other players while completing map objectives. Like that, squads can increase their power and improve their equipment, all of which increases their chance of being the last remaining squad by the end of the battle.

“MOBA BR meets Hero Shooters”, can be read on the official SUPERVIVE website, “Jump, glide, shoot, punch, bounce, nuke, spike your enemies in this free-flowing, chaotic battleground in the sky. Face off in all-out, multi-squad team fights, take down boss monsters for big loot, get that W and run it back.”

SUPERVIVE Creator Cup

The way it looks right now, SUPERVIVE seems to have some international esports potential as well. As usual, this will all depend on the reception of the game once it has gone through its official launch, as well as on Theorycraft Games’ promotion of the game and its ecosystem. All signs point to the US-based developer eyeing the international esports world for its newest creation, especially because they already organized an international competitive event while SUPERVIVE was still in early testing.

This happened back in November of last year, when Theorycraft Games organized the SUPERVIVE Creator Cup. As the name suggests, the event featured some of the top content creators and streamers in the world, including the likes of Matthew “Mizkif” Rinaudo, Michael “Imaqtpie” Santana and Eugene “Pobelter” Park. The Creator Cup attracted more than 84.000 viewers and accumulated more than 480.000 watched hours, which is not bad at all for a new game. However, the 2024 Creator Cup was the first and so far, also the only international competitive event for SUPERVIVE. Given the multiplayer options the game offers though, we see every possibility of Theorycraft Games coming up with more competitive and possibly even professional events once SUPERVIVE has officially launched.
