$3 million up for grabs at Six Invitational 2026
2 February 2026
Literally as we are writing this piece, the unofficial Rainbow Six Siege world championship is getting underway. Like at the end of every season, developer Ubisoft is organizing the prestigious Six Invitational, one of the biggest events in international esports overall, to mark the official end of the previous season, held from Monday, February 2nd 2026, until Sunday, February 15th 2026, in Paris (France). And as usual, it is bringing together the twenty best Rainbow Six Siege teams in the world to battle it out for a share of the flush $ 3 million prize pool. The only question that remains is: who will succeed FaZe Clan as the informal Rainbow Six Siege champion of the world?
Offline spectacle
Where several high-profile international esports events will be taking place online this month, including Dota 2 DreamLeague Season 28 starting on February 16th, the Six Invitational 2026 will be played offline. After the MGM Music Hall at Fenway Park in Boston (Massachusetts, United States) last, the event is touching down at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France this year. This means a return to the country where Ubisoft is from originally and where they last organized a Six Invitational event back in 2021.
20 teams invited
As we wrote before, a total of twenty teams is invited by Ubisoft to compete in the Six Invitational every year. Qualification for the event can vary, from it being the result of a team’s position in their regional pro league or from winning a Major to simply being allocated an invitation by Ubisoft. They will be starting in a Group Stage, followed by Playoffs behind close doors and finally, the public championship Playoffs at the Adidas Arena. These will be played from Friday, February 13th, to Sunday, February 15th.

$ 3million in prize money
Of course, you cannot organize the traditional year-ending event of one of the biggest titles in international esports without a decent prize pool. That is why, just like last year and the year before that, Ubisoft has reserved no less than $ 3 million as prize money for the Six Invitational 2026. Contrary to many other international esports tournaments, this money will be divided solely based on team placement. Individual awards can be won throughout the Six Invitational 2026 as well, but these will not come with extra prize money.
As usual, even the eventually lowest-ranked teams will get a share of the prize pool, as teams positioned 17th to 20th will each receive $ 35.000. Most of the attention is on the other side of the table though, where the eventual winner will take home no less than $ 1 million in prize money. The runner-up wins $ 450.000, while the number three pockets $ 240.000.
